About Us
Vanyali is a space created for those who seek calm through writing and want to develop a personal approach to calligraphy. We don’t aim to rush the learning process. Each course is designed to support a slow, reflective practice based on repetition, observation, and gradual refinement. At Vanyali, calligraphy is about the feeling of the line, the control of movement, and the deeper development of handwriting.
Each course in our collection offers a set of exercises and explanations. We start with the simplest elements such as basic strokes and slants, then move on to the construction of words, phrases, and full-page compositions. The learning process focuses on developing the eye for form, the rhythm between letters, and the fluidity of hand motion. This helps build not only a new skill, but also a deeper understanding of the writing process itself.
Our team consists of two professionals with many years of experience in calligraphy. Olivia Carter has been working with handwriting for over a decade and specializes in elegant layouts for print, hand-lettered posters, and creative collections. Emily Dawson combines decorative script with visual design, creating original lettering for artistic series and composition projects. Both team members contribute to a learning direction that emphasizes repetition, form awareness, and the development of a personal style.
Our courses cover a range of topics:
- beginner-level programs focus on lowercase and uppercase letters in the Latin alphabet;
- intermediate levels include letter combinations, spacing, and short phrase construction;
- advanced stages explore visual rhythm, placement, and full-page calligraphic layouts.
We also explore topics such as visual balance, line contrast, and stylistic variety. Our goal is to offer an environment where learners can progress at their own pace. Writing becomes a space for observation, refinement, and thoughtful practice.
